Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee a team of Decontamination Technicians, providing guidance and supervision in decontamination procedures.
Manage and direct decontamination activities, including High Radiation Area job coverage and High Radiological Risk Job Coverage.
Coordinate Radiological Air Sampling, analyze data, and ensure adherence to environmental safety standards.
Ensure accurate Radiological Posting and Labelling, clearly marking radiation zones and hazardous areas.
Supervise the use and maintenance of Portable Survey Instruments, guaranteeing proper calibration and functionality.
Apply extensive experience and knowledge to make policy decisions and manage programmatic aspects of the decontamination program as a whole.
Develop and implement decontamination procedures and protocols for various operational areas.
Ensure compliance with decontamination safety standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in radiation surveys, contamination monitoring, and control measures.
Lead emergency response and incident investigations related to decontamination safety.
Maintain meticulous records and reports on decontamination activities.
Collaborate with other safety and operations teams to enhance decontamination safety practices.

Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in decontamination, including policy planning and decision-making responsibilities.
Thorough knowledge of decontamination safety standards and regulations.
Exceptional leadership and supervisory skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Proficiency in the use of decontamination equipment and instruments.
Previous experience in a nuclear facility or a similar high-risk environment is preferred.
