Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team of Radiation Protection Technicians, providing guidance and supervision in radiation protection procedures.
Manage and oversee High Radiation Area job coverage and High Radiological Risk Job Coverage, ensuring that work is performed safely and in compliance with regulatory standards.
Coordinate Radiological Air Sampling activities and analyze data to ensure environmental safety.
Direct the proper Radiological Posting and Labelling of radiation zones and hazardous areas.
Manage and oversee the use of Portable Survey Instruments and ensure their proper maintenance and calibration.
Apply in-depth experience and knowledge to make policy decisions and drive the programmatic aspects of the radiation protection program as a whole.
Develop and implement radiation protection procedures and protocols for various operational areas.
Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in radiation surveys, contamination monitoring, and contamination control measures.
Lead emergency response and incident investigations related to radiation safety.
Maintain accurate records and reports on radiation protection activities.
Collaborate with other safety and operations teams to enhance radiation safety practices.

Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in radiation protection, including policy planning and decision-making responsibilities.
Comprehensive knowledge of radiation safety standards and regulations.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Proficiency in the use of radiation detection instruments.
Previous experience in a nuclear facility or similar high-risk environment is preferred.
